John Anthony Cox

John Anthony Cox, 66, of Columbus, died at October 1, 2020, at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. John was born December 11, 1953, in Bartholomew County, the son of John A. and Bonnie Robinson Cox. He married Ronda Cowan Cox on April 28, 2007. John retired from Cummins Engine Company after 35 years. He was a Greenbay Packer fan, He enjoyed cold beer, the Indy 500, and going to the beach. He was an avid hunter and participated in many bowling leagues throughout his life. John especially loved spending time with his family. The visitation was Friday, October 2, 20202 from 4-7 PM at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home Survivors include Sons: John Anthony (Theresa) Cox, Justin Quinn (Jamie) Cox, Matthew Ryan Ritchison all of Columbus; daughters, Angel (Jay) Cox-Colbert, Danielle Ritchison of Columbus, Stephanie Sills and Erica Sills of Edinburgh; brothers, Ronnie (Diane) Cox of Columbus and Doug Cox of Madison; sisters, Connie Cox Graham and Shelby (Greg) Cox-Ferguson of Columbus; 8 granddaughters, 5 grandsons, and looking forward to meeting his expected granddaughter who is expected to arrive in March. He was preceded in death by his Grandchildren, Taylor Colbert and Naomi Ruth Cox
