Imogene Weisner, 90, of Columbus, passed away Thursday, October 8th, 2020 at Columbus Regional Hospital. There will be a private family funeral at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Marcus Speer officiating. Burial will be at The Moravian Cemetery in Hope. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local Humane Society, charity of your choice, or just keep your bird feeders full and think of Imogene as you enjoy your birds. Note: Imogene's favorite bird was the Blue Jay. Mrs. Weisner was a graduate of Shields High School in Seymour, Indiana and Indiana Business College. Mrs. Weisner was a member of the Hope Moravian Church. She enjoyed all things of nature, reading and doing genealogical research. She was a member of Daughters of the America Revolution, The Huguenot Society, Daughters of the War of 1812, Colonial Dames XVII Century, Daughters of Colonial Wars, Society of Indiana Pioneers and Bartholomew County Genealogical Society. Imogene was born in Terre Haute, Indiana, on January 4th, 1930. Mrs. Weisner was the daughter of James Harvey Chafin and Louise (Hannah) Chafin, She married William James Weisner on November 3rd, 1951. He passed away May 6th, 1994. Survivors include sons, Kurt (Lisa) Weisner, Kraig (Karen) Weisner and Kris Weisner all of Columbus; grandchildren, Dustin, Alex, Casey, Alexa and Maggie.

  1. Dear Craig, Kurt, Kris and families, I just watched the video tribute for Aunt Jean and it brought back so many fond memories. She was such a beautiful lady inside and out and I always enjoyed being around her. I’m just sorry we lost contact in later years. I know she will be missed by all.
