Alan W. Peterson, 84, of Edinburgh, died at home, October 10, 2020.
Alan was born December 3, 1935 in Terre Haute, the son of Kenneth & Dorothy Martin Peterson. He married Bessie M. LaRue on January 15, 1975.
Alan previously owned White River Truck Repair in Edinburgh. He loved being a diesel mechanic, fishing, traveling and good food. His greatest love was watching his grandchildren.

Survivors include wife; daughters, Terry Peterson and Julie (Vince) Finley, both of Edinburgh, Dawn (Dan) Cupp of Hardinsburg; grandchildren, Ginger (Joshua) Music and Amber (Chris) McDonald; great-grandchildren, Jayson Music, Jaxon Music and Gemma Music.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bruce Peterson; as well as one grandchild, Jason Cupp.
Alan wanted everyone to remember him as he was. He asked that he be cremated and that there be no services. Services were entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
