Timothy Michael Mitchell, 32, of Columbus, passed away Monday November 16, 2020 at his home. He was born September 21, 1988 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois to Tommy D. Mitchell and Brenda Chapman Mitchell. Timothy was a very talented person. He enjoyed cooking and had worked in various restaurants. He loved to draw and build bicycles. The family is having a time of come and go visitation on Monday November 30, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to a fund for his children through the funeral home. Timothy is survived by his mother and step-father, Brenda Mitchell and Russell Alltop; his father Tommy D. Mitchell; step-father, Russell Alltop; his son, Nate Mitchell; his daughter, Nya Mitchell; his brother, Jesse Mitchell; his sister, Summer Mitchell; his grandparents, Don and Helena Chapman and Betty and Floyd Watkins. He was preceded in death by his other grandparents, Mary Chapman and Thomas and Viola Mitchell. Due to the new mandate limiting gatherings to 50 people, visitors are required to wear face masks and maintain social distancing. We encourage you to share your support with the family, being cognizant that others wish to do the same. You may be asked to wait outside the building as we comply with this mandate.   1. Timothy our young man loved to draw, cook,was a movie buff. He had the best smile ever. He was also quick with a come back. I miss him messaging me or calling me many times throughout the day. He loved and missed his children so much. If you knew him there wasn’t anything you couldnt ask of him that he wouldnt give you or do for you. We love and miss you so so much. Mom & Russell

It’s been 95 days since u left but for me it’s always day 1 without my only lil brother as kids this was my job watch out for u I remember you riding your big wheel to radio shack but nobody knew until the police brought u home I feel like I did that day I just want my baby brother I’ll always love u bro
