Cheryl L. Newland, 69, of Columbus, Indiana, died at 12:35 a.m., January 11, 2021 at her home. Cheryl was born April 13, 1951 in Bartholomew County, the daughter of Paul and Marjorie (Schwind) Hedrick. She married Jerry D. Newland December 9, 1977. The funeral will be at 1:00 PM on Monday January 18, 2021 at Garland Brook Cemetery with Pastor Dennis Aud officiating. Calling will be from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Jewell ~ Rittman Family Funeral Home. She loved fishing, hunting arrow heads and mushrooms with her grandchildren. When ever her grandchildren were in sports she was in the stands to watch and cheer them on. The most important thing in her life was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include Sons Jerry Paul (Jennifer) Newland of Columbus, Mark A. (Jessica) Newland of Kendallville, IN, Daughters, Lori A. (Ryan) Camplin of Martinsville, Traci L. Roe of Columbus, Jerika D. Newland of Columbus, Grandchildren, Jezlynn, Harley, Zander, Justin, Jolie, Harley, Lane, Shelby, Jackson, Tanner, Cortony, Brittany, Jerry Paul, Nicholas Kyle, Alexis, Katelyn, Hailey, Great Grandchildren, Briley, Rowan, Brynn, Layton, Lukas, Layla, Lillian, Brothers, Daniel Hedrick of Columbus, Sisters, Paula A. Hedrick of Columbus, Cindy L. Kent of Elizabethtown. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Daughter, Jessica Newland.
