Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I always remember the monkey she used during the quiet seat prize time at VBS. His name was Barney.

  2. Linda will be missed by the office staff and her caregivers from Firstlight. We all loved her.

  3. Miss Linda was always so supportive of me and my life. She never failed to know when I was upset and help me feel better. She’s missed very much

  4. Linda used to come over and visit us often. We would have Tupperware parties and she would stay afterward and play the piano and we would sing hymns together. Both of my grandmothers along with my mom and sometimes other family members would be present. Those two grandmas have since passed away but they were also very fond of Linda! She had a beautiful voice and smile and she had a lot of energy and passion for things she enjoyed. I know she was close to God, loved her family and loved selling Tupperware or whatever her latest hobby was. She even had convinced me as well as my mom to sell Tupperware for a while and we would ride in her van with her and head up north to these Tupperware conventions.
Since I found out she passed away, I have been singing and listening to old hymns that she would sing with us. It seems like a nice way to honor her memory. I have not been able to see her in several years but these memories still resonate strongly with me and always will. Thoughts and prayers for her family! I am so glad to have known her!

  5. There are so many memories of this great women. She was my choir teacher. My. Bs teacher. And always kept us inline. And she always had a smile on her face. Even when she had to have a serious talk with you she had that wonderful sweet smile. She will be greatly missed. Loved her so much.

  6. Sister Taylor was my Kindergarten teacher at Bethel in 1980. I attended several of her Vacation Bible School’s and will never forget the year the theme was Route 66. That’s where I learned all the books of the Bible and can still quote them to this day. I remember so many of her stories and especially one about a snake swallowing a big egg! I loved her puppet Barney too. I thought it was so cool how she made him talk to her. She was an awesome singer and loved young people. She always had a smile and was a wonderful Christian my entire life. Miss Linda will be missed by many, but we have wonderful memories to cherish.

    • Mrs. Linda was a wonderful women of God. She was my favorite children’s worker at church camp. I used to love to hear her tell stories. When I became an adult, I lived close to her for a few years, I asked her why I never received the quiet seat the many years she taught Childers services. One day she gave me a little prize and told me she was sorry, I never was in the correct seat. I was only joking with her and she knew that but she gave me a prize anyway. I always loved her laugh, and to hear her sing . She was one of my mothers dearest friends and she was always spoken about in the highest regard. Heaven gained an angel. RIP sister Linda. Until we meet again!
