Timothy A. Blanford

Timothy A. Blanford, 57, of Columbus, passed away Tuesday May 11, 2021 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. He was born December 12, 1963 in Columbus to the late William and Hilda M. Blanford.
Tim was a member of Saint Bartholomew Catholic Church. He worked in ambulance sevice his whole career. He graduated from the Columbus Regional Hospital Paramedic Program and worked for Athens Ambulance and Wishard Ambulance Service. He served as a volunteer firefighter for Warren and White Townships.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday May 15, 2021 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church 1306 26th Street with Fr. Chris Wadelton officiating. Face masks and social distancing is required. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m.Saturday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in Garland Brook Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Tim may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana through the funeral home.
Tim is survived by his son, Logan Blanford-Jones of Beech Grove; daughter, Jaycie Blanford of Indianapolis; brother, Tom (Linda) Blanford of Seymour; sisters, Debbie Blanford of Columbus, Beverly Bickell of Columbus and Pamela Cook of Hope. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Cheryl Romine.

Tim and I attended Columbus East high-school and qere in home room together. Tim was a shy and always respectful of others.
We knew Tim only a short time but, even so he made a mark on our hearts. He will be greatly missed. We send our prayers and condolences to his family.

Gone too soon. I will always remember Tim for his kindness and caring. He was always willing to help people. He comforted me and my sister when our brother passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 27, 2018. Rest in peace, Tim.
