Phyllis J. Danforth

Phyllis J. Danforth, 85, of Elizabethtown, passed away Wednesday May 19, 2021 at Columbus Regional Hospital. She was born April 29, 1936 in Morgan County Indiana to the late Vestal Edwards, Sr. and Dessie Goss Edwards. She was a member of the East Columbus Christian Church and was a homemaker who enjoyed tending her flowers and gardens. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday May 22, 2021 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Ron Bridgewater officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest next to her husband, William, in Springer Cemetery. Visitation for friends and family will be held on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Phyllis is survived by her son, Billy (fiancé, Anna Thompson). She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William; brothers, Vestal Jr. and Wendall Gene Edwards and a sister, Mary F. Franklin.
