Timothy J Long

Timothy J Long, 61, of Columbus, departed this life July 29, 2021 at Columbus Regional Hospital. Timothy was born August 7, 1959 in Columbus, Indiana, the son of Ray C. Long and Sharon K. Tilley Long. Timothy was an excellent mechanic and made sure to keep his family and friends cars on the road. His pride and joy was his 1973 Dodge Challenger, which he spent many years restoring. He was an avid Blues guitarist all his life. He greatly cherished his friends and family dearly and was a strong believer in Jesus Christ. Timothy will be greatly missed by his mother Sharon Long, his children James Long of Arizona, Andrea Blackwood of Bloomington, Indiana and Amelia (Matthew) Girard of Lexington, Kentucky, his sisters Kathy (Jerry) Moore and Melanie (Eric) Knechtel, both of Columbus and his grandchild Clattie Girard. He was preceded in death by father Ray Long.
