Bobby D. Fields

Bobby D. Fields, 65, of Columbus, passed away July 31, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family. Bobby was born October 15, 1955 in Columbus, the son of Dennis B. and Florence Bea Poore Fields. He married Tina M. Bishop on August 1, 1977. Bobby retired from Rumpke in 2005 after 35 years of service. He loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. Bobby is survived by his wife; sons Justin D. (Geena) Fields of Columbus, Charles B. (Amy) Fields of Edinburgh, and Zachrus W. Bishop of Kentucky; a daughter Sarah M. Hammack of Columbus; grandchildren Kristen, Kaitlyn, Ruth, Mary, Mackayla, Alexis, Ryan, Riley, Jacob, and Emerson; great-grandchildren Adalynn, Skylynn, and Bailey; brothers Buford L. (Sharon) Fields, Wendell L. (Victoria) Fields, and Mickel G. (Judy) Fields all of Columbus; sisters Linda M. (Dave) Andrews of St. Louis Crossing, Joyce M. (Jim) Adams of Taylorsville, Bernice Fields of Columbus, and Jennifer Harrison of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as a brother Jeffrey D. Fields. The funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday August 3, 2021 at the Jewell - Rittman Family Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Baldwin officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of services Tuesday. Burial will be at Old Union Cemetery in Bartholomew County. Memorials may be made to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.
