Dianna C. Silcox, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, ordained minister, and a beautiful human being, left this world shouting God’s praises, to reunite with her husband Howard in heaven on August 11, 2021. She was 69 years young. Dianna entered into this world August 23, 1951 in Oden, Indiana, the daughter of Edna Ray and Wilbert Graves. She married her husband, Howard C. Silcox on June 24, 1988. They spent the following 35 years together before his passing on February 17, 2013. Dianna was a member of the House of Victory in Indianapolis, where she taught Sunday school, and loved to sing about how great her God is. She enjoyed shopping, especially all things related to Disney. Dianna loved spending time with her family, and never missed an event when it came to her family and friends. She especially loved watching her son John race at the Speedrome in Indianapolis. Dianna is survived by her children John R. Gimbel Jr., Michelle R. (Eddie G.) Carr, Robert E. Gimbel, and Renea (Richard) Lawrence all of Indianapolis as well as Michael D. (Lindsey) Silcox of Columbus; grandchildren Diann E. Gimbel, Cristin M. Burlage, Joshua Watkins, Christopher Richardson, Jeffrey Carlisle, Sean Watkins, Mickey D. Carr, Destiny Luna, Heavenlye Beal, Jason Jackson, Richard Lawrence, Cassie Silcox, Olivia Castro, Isabella Castro, Mallory Silcox, Bryson Silcox, Ethan Silcox, Charlene Gimbel, Michael McFarland, and Robert Gimbel Jr.; great-grandchildren Tyris Reid, Damea Watkins, Niko Watkins, Remi Watkins, Nalah Luna, Zoey Gimbel, Khloe Gimbel, Karisyn McFarland, and Karsen McFarland; a brother Ronnie Harvey of Indianapolis; as well as sisters Shirley Harvey, Kathy Aldridge, and Esther Dillon all of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by parents; her husband Howard; daughters Stephanie Castro and Tiffanie Silcox; a grandchild Delta Jones; as well as a great-grandchild Amelia Carlisle. The funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday August 20, 2021 at Mount Pleasant Christian Church (381 N. Bluff Rd. Greenwood) with Pastor Eddie Carr officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 19, 2021 at the church and one hour prior to the service Friday. Burial will be at Indiana Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Madison.
