Audrey L. Crase, 76, of Columbus, passed away at 10:00 a.m. Thursday November 4, 2021 at Columbus Regional Hospital. She was born April 7, 1945 in Lebanon, Indiana to Bernard Alton Bendler and Eunice Reed Bendler. She married Charles A. “Charlie” Crase on July 28, 1967 and he survives. Audrey was a long-time active member of The Rock Church and had served as the secretary/treasurer for many years. She loved the Lord and enjoyed serving others by providing food for those families who were sick or grieving. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday November 8, 2021 in Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Jane Ann Noblitt officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Garland Brook Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in memory of Audrey may be made to The Rock Church through the funeral home. Audrey is survived by her husband, Charlie; daughter Tracy Crase and son Scott (Misty) Crase, all of Columbus; sisters, Marlene Huber of Brown County, Shirley Blair of Columbus, Brenda Frank of Carson City, Nevada and Rhonda (Dean) Walls of Brown County. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Keegan Crase, Ronna (Zach) Shepherd; great granddaughter Hartlee Shephard and several nieces and nephews. Audrey was preceded in death by her father Bernard Bender, her mother Eunice Leonard and sisters Barbara Lowe and Phyllis Bruner.
