William Brad Bailey
December 8, 1955 ~ December 25, 2021
It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of William Brad Bailey, 66, born December 8, 1955 to William Nevada Bailey and Marlene Rhoda Marker in Salt Lake City. He passed away on his favorite holiday Christmas, December 25, 2021 in Columbus, Indiana. He passed away from his year-long battle of Glioma Brain Cancer. He was loved and will be missed by all. He touched each of his family members differently and will be remembered by those special moments he made with each of us. Some of those special moments were nights around the TV watching WWE, afternoons spent at the computer watching him play games, and sharing the love he had for Christmas with those around him.
He went to Cottonwood High school.
Brad Bailey was married to Andrea McQueen and had two daughters, Brookanne and Alexandrea. Later he married Kathleen Carpenter and went on to have Charlene and inherited a stepson Kurt Carpenter. They divorced and he never remarried but did have a long-time partner Teresa Western, They ended up in Columbus, Indiana and they helped take care of Teresa’s grandchildren, Maura Montambos, Cidney Newland, and Carly Western who became like Brad’s kids. Cristy Western was his caregiver for the last few months of his life.
Brad Bailey never retired and was a carpenter by trade and was amazing at the work he did. He worked in construction until he was diagnosed with brain cancer. He was last working in New Orleans at a large clothing store which sustained damage from a hurricane. He also worked for the railroad in Denver and off the Rio Grande. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Brad Bailey loved fixing and building things.
Brad Bailey was proceeded in death by his father, William Nevada Bailey. He is survived by his mother, Marlene Rhonda Marker Bailey; his siblings, Deborah Anne Cluphf (sister), Karen Brooke Moffitt (sister) and Scott Moffitt (brother in law), Richard Kyle Bailey (brother) and Valarie Bailey (sister in law), and Michael Thain Bailey (brother) and Kristi Bailey (sister in law); His daughters, Brookeanne Kennah, Alexandra Bailey, and Charlene Jennings; His stepson, Kurt Carpenter; His 6 grandchildren, Weslieanne Wardle, Shellie Wardle, Dee Wardle, Alexa Jennings, Mikayla Carpenter, Delilah Jennings; He had one great-grandchild on the way, Joshua Jonathon Garcia.
A small service or family gathering will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to a cancer organization of your choosing to help fund research on this terrible disease.
