David A. Creekmore
November 15, 1957 ~ February 25, 2022
David Allen Creekmore, 64, of Elizabethtown, IN is at peace and out of pain, he passed away Friday morning. February 25, 2022 at Our Hospice Inpatient Facility.
David was born on November 15, 1957 at Ft. Thomas, KY to Floyd Creekmore and Lois Godby Creekmore. When he was five his family moved to Ruskin, Florida. David graduated from East Bay High School. He worked for many years for King’s Wholesale Flowers and Plants, where he met Naomi Whipker. After dating for four months they were married, September 24, 1989 in Bradenton, Florida. In 1992 the family moved to Indiana to Naomi’s home town.
David worked for Coca-Cola, Wine & Schultz and several years for Hostess as a Route Salesman. He was self-employed, selling bread and snack cakes for Flowers Bakery. After selling his route he went to work for Cummins Engine Company, due to his health he had to retire.
He loved and was proud of his stepsons and grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Naomi, his mother Lois Edwards of Ruskin, Florida; step-sons, J. Matthew (Carla) Harden of Columbus, IN and Tyler Harden of Seymour, IN; grandchildren, Leah, Coryn, Phillip and Paige Harden; sister, Renee (Todd) Jones of Summerville, S.C.; nephew, Matthew (Jessie) Jones of S.C.; niece, Erin Jones of TX; great grandniece, Dakota Jones and a half sister, Stacey Greenwell of Uniontown, KY.
David was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Creekmore; step fathers, Samuel Shinkle and Lum Edwards.
A memorial calling hours will be from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bartholomew County Humane Society or Donor’s Choice of Charity.

David was a classmate of mine we graduated at East Bay High, he was always a kind & had a funny part in him. So sorry to hear this… communication thru Facebook was how we kept in touch. Very sorry on your family’s lost .RIP my friend ❤️💔

Spent many mornings walking to the bus stop with Dave, elementary, middle and high school we had some good talks. He was a deep thinker at times even then. I always remember when he said “if” was the biggest word in the dictionary, I wasn’t sure at the time what he meant but understand now. Many times when people use the word “if” I’ve thought of Dave he was so right.
