Peter Jackson Knapp

Peter “Pete” Jackson Knapp, 65, of Columbus, passed away at 12:32 p.m., March 6, 2022, at his home.
He was born January 2, 1957 in Indianapolis, the son of Charles Jackson and Catherine Isabel Mosser Knapp.
Pete is survived by his companion, Connie Frazee; sisters, Anne L. Knapp of Greenwood and Bonnie G. Knapp-Wild of Indianapolis; 2 nieces and 1 nephew; as well as his best friend, his dog Prince.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Sharon L. Knapp Offenbacker.
Pete served in the U.S. Navy, and worked as a truck driver. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his companion Connie at her business Connie and Steve’s Auto Repair. Pete never met a stranger, and customers always looked forward to visiting with him. He was an avid pool player and enjoyed playing golf.
In keeping with Pete’s wishes, no services are planned.
Memorials may be made to Riley Hospital for Children (30 S. Meridian Street, Suite 200, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204), or a charity of the donor’s choosing.

We will always remember the Knapp camping trips in our woods at Jersey Pleasant Ridge Farms in Geneva. Pete was quite the talker and together we would share stories around the campfire.
