Robert David Lindstrom, 56, of Columbus passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, May 5, 2022. Robert was born June 22, 1965, in Angeles City, Philippines. Robert’s parents, Jon and Shirley Lindstrom relocated back to Merrill, WI when Robert was three years old. He was later confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Merrill. He attended Merrill Junior High School and graduated from Brookfield Central High School in Brookfield, WI. Robert moved to Columbus, IN in 2002, to be closer to his aunt, Sue Lindstrom, and his grandmother, Amelia Lindstrom. Robert worked primarily as a restaurant manager in Columbus, where you may have seen him at the Garlic Tree, Montana Mike’s, Joe Willy’s, Fazolis, and other locations around town. Most recently, he worked in the meat and seafood department at Kroger Marketplace. Robert loved listening to rock and roll music, and jazz music, feeding the birds and squirrels in the backyard and watching classic television shows like MASH and Star Trek in his free time. Most importantly, Robert loved his Green Bay Packers. You would be hard-pressed to find a bigger Packer fan than he. Go Pack, Go! 1. My best memories with Robert are the times we spent at FoxFire. From Bald Eagle watching to catching fish, Robert was always smiling a whole lot. He told me Foxfire would be a good place to live until I reminded him that the same snow that fell in Milwaukee also made its way up to Woodruff. He loved the outdoors, the water, and all wildlife. I’m betting when he got to Heaven, he would ask God for a place something like Foxfire. And hopefully, with his Auntie Kay, they would discover more eagles and eaglet nests.

  2. I have always considered Bob to be a surrogate brother when I became estranged from mine. I am happy to have had Bob as both a surrogate brother as well as a brother-in-law. Love and miss you.

  3. Bob was my big brother, we shared a lot of secrets, kept each other out of trouble, and got into a lot of trouble together. He was typically a very introverted person who liked to be by himself and keep his privacy, and when it was just him and I we talked about life, our childhood memories and the family. Bob once confessed to me that he was jealous of me and how outgoing I was, and I told him I was always jealous of him for his artistic skills. What many have forgotten is that Bob was artistic and he actually had one of his pieces at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum in Wausau. Bob liked to tinker in a lot of the different art mediums including photography, wood work and drawing. Bob told me once he wished he could have more time just drawing and painting but bills needed to be paid. His artistic side was always apparent with his cooking and food preparations and it always seemed easy for him. I will miss those meals, the grilling, our quiet times together and our brother talks.

  4. Thank you so much, Rootkits Credit Specialist, for helping me raise my credit score and erase negative items. It took a little over 9 days to get my credit just where I needed it. Now I’m pre-approved for a mortgage, and I’m currently house shopping! It’s a dream come true and a personal goal accomplished with your help. THANK YOU! I’m recommending them to anyone in desperate need of credit repair (rootkitscreditspecialist on Gmail dot com). They will change your life in a matter of days.

  5. Our thoughts and pray are with you. We have happy memories of our times with Bobby. We are so sorry and love you so much. God grant comfort and healing.

  6. I am so fortunate to have experienced Bob’s kindness and humor. As a close friend of Bob’s sister Mela, I was granted “little sister” status by Bob. Bob always made me feel so welcome and loved. One thing that was always very obvious to me is that Bob loved his family unconditionally and would do anything for them. I feel so lucky to have been part of his world.

Hugs, prayers and so much love to the Lindstrom Family. I am so very sorry for your loss.

  7. What a beautiful testimony to our dear, sweet Robert.
Thank you so much for sharing your deep, never ending love…
and Robert’s love for you will forever fill your heart..
Please accept Howard’s and my deepest sympathy.
    We love you all!

  8. I’m sitting here on this day of his Memorial service looking at all the pictures through the years. May these happy memories stay in your hearts forever. I’m remembering the trip to Pigeon Forge we took together. So much fun & laughter we shared. And then out trip to Vegas for Neil & Mikes wedding. That was a wonderful time being all together. Love, prayers & hugs to you all. Jane Heck
