Josephine I. "A.J" Cox

Josephine I. “A.J” Cox, 103 of Columbus, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022 at her home with her loving family present. Josephine was born on April 12, 1919 in Seymour, IN to Raymond L. Glasson and Vivian Margaret Kennedy Glasson. She married Marion S. “Bud” Cox on July 4, 1941 in Columbus. As an Arvin family, Jo and Bud enjoyed many years together before his passing. They lived in Oneida, Tennessee and Tupelo, MS where they co-owned a golf course. They made many happy memories visiting Panama City Beach, FL together throughout the years. She was a proud member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. Private services will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Garland Brook Cemetery Mausoleum where she will be entombed beside her husband Bud. Memorials contributions may be made to the Bartholomew County Humane Society. Survivors include her niece, Donna J. (John C.) Fasick; great niece and nephew, Michelle R. (Larry R.) Miller, Mark S. McClintic all of Columbus, IN and their pets, Kitter and Tessa. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond L. and Vivian Margaret Glasson; husband, Marion S. Cox on February 15, 1995; brother, Woodrow R. “Woody” Glasson on July 11, 2006 and a sister-in-law, Jeanne Glasson on July 8, 2009. Arrangements were entrusted to Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
