Dale E. Best, age 74, of Franklin, Indiana passed away Monday July 25, 2022 at Otterbein Senior Community of Franklin. He was born March 16, 1948 in Columbus, Indiana. He graduated from Sandcreek High School in Westport and was a retired truck driver for Columbus Container Corporation.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday August 1, 2022 in the Garden of Medication in Garland Brook Cemetery. There will be no visitation hours.
Dale is survived by his companion and caregiver, Linda Nichols; son Zachary Dale Best, of Greensburg; daughter, Tamara Renae Best, of Columbus; brother, David E. Best, of Hartsville and a sister Sharon Dana Huber of Columbus.

Dale was a good friend from Letts. Enjoyed many times with him traveling from home to school and getting into mischief. We had great fun riding in “the Blue bird”. An old car Dale bought from his uncle. We hung out at Letts grocery with many friends in the day. Lived across the street from his family. prayers for David and Sharon, Linda and Marsha and others.
