James E. Aubrey, 71, of Columbus, passed away September 29, 2022.
James was born December 22, 1950 in Louisville, the son of Samuel and Frances Milliner Aubrey. He married Carol Close on June 18, 2000.
James was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was an Electrician throughout his life, and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 369 in Louisville. He was a loyal and devoted University of Kentucky Wildcats fan.
James is survived by his wife Carol; his siblings Donald (Susan) Aubrey, Monica (Joe) Wibbels, Theresa (John) Elzy, and Veronica (Mike Crady) Aubrey; children David Placher and Paula (Allen) Wooten; grandchildren Marcus (Shay) Wooten, Brandi (Dalton) Chinn, Bailey (Camry) Keller, and Ric Wooten; great-grandchildren Kyliee Wooten, Eliza and Theo Keller, as well as Everett and Harper Chinn.
In keeping with James’ wishes, cremation is planned. There will be no services.

So sorry for your loss! Enjoyed Jim in the mornings at Mill Race Center! He was always quick to help out, when opening the front doors he always assisted in flipping the switch for the doors that was out of my reach. He will be missed!! Janet at Wellness Center MRC
