Sherl Ann Davidson

Sherl Ann Holtsclaw Davidson, 81, of Columbus, passed away on December 12, 2022. Sherl was born on July 3, 1941, in Indianapolis to the late George Holtsclaw and Orangie Faye Phillips Holtsclaw. She graduated from Bellarmine University with a nursing degree which then became her passion in life. She worked as an RN for the Salem Oregon Prison and Corrections until her retirement. She was a true servant of humanity and enjoyed being able to serve others in that capacity. Sherl enjoyed her years in Oregon; a lover of all animals, especially dogs, being close to the water, and also enjoyed the views of the Mountains that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Derek Carpenter officiating. Calling will be from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour. Survivors include her sons Greg and daughter-in-law Leah Allen and Ricky Lee and daughter-in-law Faith Lynette Cooper; grandchildren, Gabriel (Jordan) Allen, Jaimeson Sharpe, Katherine Allen, Benjamin Allen, and Margaret Allen; also surviving are two great-grandchildren, Jack and Lucas Allen, and brother; Johnny Holtsclaw. In lieu of donations, memorials may be made through the funeral to the Bartholomew County Humane Society. Services are entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
