Suzanne "Sue" Elizabeth Galyen

Suzanne “Sue” Elizabeth Galyen, 79, of Columbus, died at 8:40 p.m. on December 24, 2022.
Sue was born October 11, 1943, in Seymour, Indiana, the daughter of Frank and Mildred (Kerkhoff) Origer. She married Larry Joe Galyen on May 18, 1963.
When Sue was younger, she loved to make ceramics and many items of clothing for her children. She enjoyed making Christmas candy and sharing those with family, friends, and neighbors. She managed to keep the house running even though all of the kids were going in different directions for sports. She was a huge NASCAR fan. Sue and Larry went to Daytona 500 every year together since 1982. She loved taking her grandchildren on vacation and loved her family and friends very much.
The funeral will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2022, at Jewell Rittman Family Funeral Home with Fr. Clem Davis officiating. Calling will be from 5:00 pm. To 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 30, 202 2 at the funeral home. In keeping with the family’s wishes, cremation is planned.
Memorials may be made to Our Hospice Of South Central Indiana or the funeral home for funeral expenses.
Survivors include daughters, Cindi (David) Pate of Hope, Rita Galyen of Columbus, and Michelle Noblitt of Scipio; sister Rosemary (Richard) Buya of Florida; grandchildren, Tyler (Jessica) Hadley, Katherine Hadley, Matt Galyen, Josh (Valerie Scurlock) Noblitt, Alyssa (Shaun Dixon) Noblitt, and J.D. Pate; great-grandchildren, James, Mason, Rosie, Colbie, Kaiden, Myles, Asher, Tana, Chaz, Rayne, Brently, Kamryn, Samuel, Kayleigh, and Ayden.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mildred Origer; brother, Robert Origer; sisters, Maryjane Origer and Sharon Clinton; sons-in-law, Barry Humbel and Charlie Noblitt.

Sue was my next door neighbor here in Florida for 20 years. We used to talk alot outside on many topics and about family. I used to over make alot of meals and took many dinners to her and Larry. So hard to think I will not see her again. I will deeply miss her alot. My condolence to Larry and family. May she RIP..
