Steven Richard Perkins

Steven R. Perkins, 59, of Indianapolis passed from this life on Thursday, February 2, at his residence, He was born in LaCrosse, WI on August 2, 1963, the son of Richard and Margaret Perkins. Steve attended St. Peter’s Lutheran School, graduated in 1982 from Columbus East High School, and attended Indiana University. He was a hard worker and had various jobs over the years. He was a member of the Laborers Union. He is survived by his parents, brother, Tim Perkins of Coatesville, IN, sisters Lisa Garvey of Noblesville, IN, and Amy (Todd) Wingler of Avon, IN, and several nieces and nephews. There will be no calling and a private family service will be held at Garland Brook Cemetery Mausoleum with Pastor Mark Teike officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter’s Life Works Counseling Ministry, 719 5th St. Columbus, IN 47201 through St. Peters Lutheran Church. Arrangements were entrusted to Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
