I am so sorry for your loss. Dorothy was such a special lady. I admired her as a wonderful Christian lady and someone that loved her family and her friends. I enjoyed being in the Jones small group at church with her. – Donna Harp
Dorothy Martin, babysat me as a young preschool child and it was her baking that has marked me all my life. It was her “chocolate chip” cookie that I fell in love with. Over the last 50 years, I have baked and giving away thousands of cookies to family and friends because Dorothy lovingly bake them for me. She also taught me God’s word in my fourth grade Sunday School class in the “kitchen” basement of the Berean Bible Church. Her patience and confident communication of the truth of Christ love for me and eternal stories from the Bible marked me as a young boy to want to know Jesus and His love more. Psalm 116:15 rings, true for Dorothy Martin … “ Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.”

Lots of very good memories – from youth group leader, cookies new every week, instrumental in leading my brother to Christ, and being kind of a second mom to me, and mom to my best friend Les. I’ll miss her. (Mike)

What a tribute to a servant of God and an amazing woman
I, too, remember the Bible Clubs and her delicious fresh baked cookies. What a special lady! She touched many lives. Thank you for sharing the video. Debbie (DeHaven) Bentley
I enjoyed seeing the highlights of Dorothy’s life. My sister Robbin and I have happy memories of attending the Bible club in her living room when we were in early elementary school. She lovingly shared stories of Jesus with the help of her flannel graph board. Later when we were in junior high, she was our Pioneer Girls leader at Berean Bible Church. The room was packed with girls and each week was full of fun activities. We are very grateful for Dorothy’s devotion to teaching about Christ, and her untiring service to Him.
