On April 20, 2023, Coleman Allen Tennyson entered Heaven’s gates to reunite with family and loved ones who went on before him. He was born June 30, 1999, to Coleman and Tatia Renee Parker Tennyson. Coleman was 23 years old when he departed this world. Coleman was raised in Columbus, and played football for Columbus North High School, from which he graduated in 2017. He is survived by his parents; sisters Paris Bell of Macon, Georgia and Torrica Bell of Franklin; his grandmother Earnestine Tennyson; nephews Jeremiah White and Josiah Bell; his unofficial “adopted mother” Julie Boas; uncles Anthony Parker I, Larry Tennyson, and Willie Joe Tennyson Jr.; Aimee Parker Ritchwood, Francis Williams, Alvita Tennyson, and Larrincia Parker; and several cousins, as well as a host of relatives and friends. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at the Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home with Rev. Reed Chapman officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Wednesday. Burial will be at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.
