Frances Nell Arbuckle

Frances Nell Arbuckle, 85, of Columbus, passed away at 10:05 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Columbus Regional Health. Frances was born on October 14, 1937 in Smith Grove, KY to Earl Cowles and Melvira Byers Cowles. She married Alvin Lester Arbuckle on October 22, 1955. Frances was a member of First Baptist Church of Columbus. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. May 27, 2023 at First Baptist Church, 3300 Fairlawn Dr., Columbus, IN 47203 with Dr. William Griffith officiating. Calling will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be held at the church columbarium. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church or Our Hospice of South-Central Indiana. Survivors include her son, Jeffery L. Arbuckle of Morgantown, WV; daughter, Pamela (James) Bikun of Aurora, CO; sister, Rebekah Pauline Coffman of Seymour, IN and nieces and nephews. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin L. Arbuckle of September 24, 2020; father, Earl Cowles; mother, Melvira Harbough; brothers, James Dow Cowles and Robert Earl Cowles.
