Thelma Johnson

Thelma Johnson, aged 88, passed away on August 8, 2023, at her home in Columbus, IN. Born on May 15, 1935, in Hazard, KY, Thelma was the daughter of James and Ida Mae Bush. She retired from Reliance Electric in Columbus, IN. She found joy in a variety of interests. She loved traveling, cultivating gardens, unearthing treasures through antiquing, dancing, and playing Bingo. She was well-known at The Moose where she socialized with friends and acquaintances and, on occasion, she visited "The Boat" for entertainment. Thelma is survived by her four children, Annette (Tom) Mullikin, Darleen (Randy) Eckelman, Phillip Napier, and Craig Napier; nine grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, James, and Ida Bush; siblings, Frank Bush, Gene Bush, Helen Miller, and Loretta Crawford; and husband, Don Johnson. A private family service will be held at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
