Dallas Spencer
Dallas Spencer, 76, of Columbus, died at 6:49 a.m., Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Dallas was born May 22, 1947, the son of Ronald Earl and Mable Lorene Sneed Spencer. He married Joyce Ann England on February 19, 1966.
Dallas retired from Cummins Engine after 42 years. In his leisure time, he enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing softball, and even coaching. A big NASCAR fan and collector, Dallas loved racing. He was a hard-working family man and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
The funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 18, 2023, at Jewell Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Bell officiating. Calling will be from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Old Union Cemetery, Edinburgh.
Memorials may be made to the Shriners through the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, children, Jeff (Andrea) Spencer, of Maryland, Lori Hontz, and Stacey McCarty, both of Columbus; a sister, JoAnn Bragg, Brownstown; grandchildren, Dustin England, Chelsea Brooks, Amanda Wade, Trenten Spencer, and Kylie Spencer; great-grandchildren, Easton England, Ayden Hamm, Adalynn McCray, Brayleigh Hamm, Alyiah Wade, and Emerson England; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

I’m certain this is the same Dallas Spencer I went to school with. He was 2 years ahead of me. We rode the same bus as I lived at 31st and Griffa and he was on Marr Road.
