Alice Jeanenne King

Alice Jeanenne King, 88, of Columbus, passed away at 5:28 a.m. Friday, September 15, 2023 at Silver Oaks Health Campus. Jeanenne was born in Knightstown, IN on January 21, 1935, to Harold Anderson and Alice Fleming Anderson. Jeanenne graduated from Knightstown High School. She spent her early years co-owning several restaurants in the Connersville and Richmond area. She spent her later years in Sun City, AZ before moving to Columbus, IN. The family wishes to thank the staff at Silver Oaks for their care and compassion. A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown, IN with Nancy Lewis of First Christian Church officiating. Survivors include her sons, Gregory (Jill) King of Columbus, IN and Corwin (Katherine) King of Connersville, IN; grandchildren, Christina Smith, Stephanie (Scott) Essex, Robert (Lauren) King, Zach (Suli Stuelpnagel) King, Cassidy (Nathan) Foreman, and 10 great-grandchildren. Jeanenne was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Alice Anderson; son, Christopher King and a sister, Mardella Spears. Memorial contributions may be made to Love Chapel, 311 Center St. Columbus, IN 47201, or through the funeral home. Arrangements were entrusted to Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home, Columbus, IN.
