Donald Richard “Donnie” Warfield, 72, of Grammar, Indiana passed away Saturday September 16, 2023 at Ascension/St. Vincent Jennings Hospital. He was born April 10, 1951 in Columbus, Indiana, the son of Floyd R. and Mary K. (Sanders) Warfield. Donnie retired from Cummins Engine Company where he worked as a machinist. He loved sports of all kinds and played softball for many years on local teams. He was always there for his family and loved his dogs. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday September 20, 2023 at Garland Brook Mausoleum with Pastor Kevin Metz officiating. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in Garland Brook Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Donnie to the Bartholomew County Humane Society. Donnie is survived by his wife, Debbie, whom he married on June 9, 1993; his children, Chad Warfield, Amanda (Steven) Klei and Brian (Danielle) Liggett; his brother, David (Charlena) Warfield; sisters, Barbara Ann Linn and Sandra Ellen Talkington; his grandchildren, Ashley (Ben) Hagen, Brayden Warfield, Braxton Warfield, Hunter Liggett, Mason McKim , Lilah Klei and Raelee Warfield. Donnie is also survived by his beloved English bulldog, Beanie. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.   3. Don was one year ahead of me in high school and we worked together at Louden’s Food Fair on Central. He was fun to work with and had a good sense of humor. I remember when he left Louden’s and went to work for Cummins. He bought a new yellow Z-28 Yellow Camaro and it had black and white checkered seats in it and was a beautiful car.
