Raymond “Ray” Edward England, age 75, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2023, at his home on Pearl Street with his wife and children nearby. Ray was born August 13, 1948, the son of Rex and Leora Belle (Poore) England. Ray had a great sense of humor and loved a good joke. He had an upbeat personality and never neglected to make those around him laugh. He was an avid car enthusiast. He loved cars, especially his Corvette. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. in the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Fields officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana. Ray is survived by his wife, Joyce, whom he married on May 17, 1967; daughter, Angee (Trent) Gentry and a son Jay (Rachel) England. Ray was the grandfather to 11 beloved grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Chris and 6 brothers and sisters.

  2. I had the pleasure of meeting my uncle Raymond in 2018. He was kind, pleasant and full of jokes.I wishI could have met him sooner but I’m thankful I finally got to me such a dear soul has Uncle Raymond. See you on the other side Uncle Ray.

  5. Remembering my Uncle Raymond as strong and caring. He had a protective nature about him, providing a place where I always felt safe. Uncle Raymond was a favorite around our house as he was a bit of a badass and the coolest of the cool, he loved to laugh and always drove a car that turned all the heads.
    Forever in my heart, you will be missed💕
