Marilyn B. Vinson

Marilyn B. Vinson, 68, of Columbus, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Marilyn was born on March 6, 1955, in Versailles, KY to Merile Slayton and Patsy Lou Phillips Slayton. She married Larry Reed Vinson. Marilyn was a retired cook from Columbus Regional Hospital. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Gary Moreland officiating the service. Calling hours will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Garland Brook Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Survivors include her mother, Patsy Lou Slayton of Columbus, IN; children, Laila McAuliffe and Aimee Vinson both of Columbus, IN; grandchildren, Christian Collins, Victoria McAuliffe, Chloe Collins, and Cash Vinson. Marilyn was preceded in death by her father, Merile Slayton; husband, Larry Reed Vinson on September 28, 2021.
