Leonard "Buddy" Gerald Buhr
November 25, 1957 ~ October 7, 2023
Leonard “Buddy” Gerald Buhr Jr., 65, of Greensburg, died at 9:27 p.m. on October 7th, 2023.
He was born November 25th, 1957 in Jasper, Indiana, the son of Leonard and Elizabeth (King) Buhr. He married Karen Sue Beffel.
Leonard was a devoted fan of the Bengals and loved baseball. He enjoyed fishing and listening to old rock’n’roll and country. He would listen to it with his friends at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Greensburg. To Leonard, everyone there was like his family. He was a social butterfly who loved to talk to everyone, especially those who were new residents. He would take them under his wing and be helpful in making them feel comfortable. Leonard was a very generous person. He would always ask if residents needed anything. He would buy games, flowers, and pizza for all to enjoy. Leonard was a go-with-the-flow type of person, who made an effort to make sure to compliment the staff and let them know how good they were doing. He spent a lot of time with the resident pup, Molly. Leonard was the life of the party who was a "Buddy" to anyone and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
The funeral will be at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, October 12th, 2023 at Jewell Rittman Family Funeral Home with Father John Brosmer officiating. Calling will be from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. prior to the service. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
