Marie Spall

Marie Spall, 81, of Columbus, passed away at 11:50 p.m. Friday, December 22, 2023, at The Belmont Health & Rehabilitation of Columbus. Marie was born in Kay-Jay, KY on May 21, 1942, to Speed Collins and Flora Martin Collins. She married Richard E. Spall on September 19, 1964. Marie was family-oriented and loved her family more than anything. She was big-hearted and cared for the elderly in their home for many years. She was of Baptist Faith. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Cordes officiating. Calling hours will be from 4 p.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South-Central Indiana. Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Lynn Meyer of Columbus; grandchildren, Natasha “Nikki” Jones and Morgan Leann Meyer; great-grandchildren, Laylah Leann, Madison Elyse, Jayden Lee, and Landen Meredith. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Speed, and Flora Collins; husband, Richard Spall on November 17, 2019; brothers, Aberham Collins, Vernon Halcomb, Crit Sizemore, Doyal Chadwell, William Collins, and Junior Collins; sisters, Geneva Meade, Mae Valentine, Thelma Collins, and Juanita Collins.
