Paul "Leon" Eddelman

Paul L. “Leon” Eddelman, 70, of Elizabethtown, IN passed away at 6:48 p.m. Sunday, December 24, 2023, at Our Hospice Inpatient Facility. He was born on May 18, 1953, in Columbus, IN to James Eddelman and Joyce Poore Eddelman. Paul married Patricia A. Fields on March 18, 2000.
Leon was a member of Covenant Family Worship Center in Columbus. He was previously employed as a steel hanger in Minnesota with his stepfather. He was a fantastic musician and could play any instrument. He enjoyed running the Zamboni at Hamilton Community Center and Ice Arena and was a greens keeper at Otter Creek Golf Course.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2023, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor John Carr officiating. Calling will be from 11 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Harmony Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia A. Eddelman; children, Megan (Josh) Ripberger of Richmond, IN, Sara (Mitch Staggs) Eddelman of Columbus, IN, Hanna (Anthony Murray) Eddelman of Nebraska, IN, Owen (Tonya) Anderson of Taylorsville, IN, Lowen Anderson of Edinburgh, IN, Charles (Michelle) Anderson of Columbus, IN and Candace Jones of Elizabethtown, IN; brother, John (Elizabeth) Haddix of Indianapolis, IN; sisters, Gale Carnahan of Columbus, IN, Lisa Zeigler of Columbus, IN, Jonra Goldsmith of Columbus, IN, 29 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Leon was preceded in death by his parents, James Eddelman and Joyce Goldsmith; step-father, Stanley Goldsmith; daughter, LaDonna Eddelman; brother, Bobby Eddelman; Grandma and Grandpa Poore and Grandma and Grandpa Eddelman.






I enjoyed our conversations about music and singing with him on our praise and worship team ,
I don’t even know where to begin other than when I first met Leon he forever changed my world and he instantly became one of my most dearest friend. He was a very caring human being. Loved his family and friends. An incredible musician. This world will never be the same without him. Heaven scored big time.
Leon and Patty was one of our dearest friends and we will truly miss this man. LEON GREW HIS WINGS!! With his family and friends we will cherish our memories. We love you **LEON**❤️

I lived down the street from Leon’s grandma and spent many nights with Leon and Bob when they played music Leon will be missed by my cousin Patty and all the family and his friends including me
