Bro. Hendershot, as I always called him, always had a sweet friendly smile and a cheerful greeting. He certainly was an important Brown County resident. Bro. Hendershot was a steady, ready greeter at the Brown County Holiness Camp. His smile and handshake will certainly be missed come July.

So sad I missed the funeral but busy with my Moms .
I appreciated having Denzel work on our business remodels and handy man stuff over the years But really enjoyed catching up and some fellowship in Gnaw bone at the house or in the shop receiving some guidance and solving world problems… just the kinda guy you loved being around his light.
Prayers, to you Gail and your entire clan .
One story you kinda know…..
I had a concrete project my wife and I were doing but no experience, Denzel or Al I used them interchangeably, was getting up there but I just wanted him to sit there and advise us…. when the truck arrived … Gail told him no way he was working …. I pulled in and picked him up … all good… she shook a finger at him once more and we took off down the drive way….only twenty feet he yelled stopped , got out , grabbed a 5 gal bucket out of bushes with his finishing trowels and boots in it … we went to job and he stayed in the chair we had for him in the shade for about ten minutes…..then at 81 he wouldn’t get out of the concrete for about the next hour ….once he had us all under control and figured we couldn’t mess it up too much he did go back to the chair … sorry Gail it wasn’t our plan. It scared me but he was enjoying it soooo much. ❤️
