Floyd Lee Watkins

Floyd Lee Watkins, 68, of Columbus, passed away at 6:12 a.m. Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Floyd was born on June 30, 1955, in Columbus to James Watkins and Helen Godsey Watkins. Floyd was a proud Army Veteran and retired from Cosco after 20 years of service. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and being outdoors. He loved spending time with his little dog Shadow and spending time with his family. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Calling hours will be from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Burial will be held at Cave Springs Cemetery, Scipio, IN. Survivors include his children, Mike (Stephanie) Watkins of Columbus, IN, Justin (Ashley) Lashley of TN, Easha (Albert Hill) North of Seymour, IN, Rebecca Bustos of Columbus, IN and Molly Kelsey of Indianapolis, IN; brothers, Bobby Joe Watkins of Columbus, IN, Bill Watkins of Columbus, IN; Mike (Carolyn) Watkins of Greensburg, IN; sisters, Norma (David) Watkins of Columbus, IN, Jeannie Watkins of KY; several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, James and Helen Watkins; brothers, Larry, Allen, Frankie and Jerry Watkins; sister, Jane Mann.
