June L. Bell, 76, of Columbus, died at 4:30 a.m. April 26, 2024, at Columbus Regional Hospital. June was born September 15, 1947, the daughter of Dan and Nellie Kinworthy. She later married Donald Ray Bell. He preceded her in death on June 28. 2010. June was a graduate of McDowell Adult Education. She attended 6th Street General Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, and cooking. June loved to travel to Florida, especially the Jacksonville area and Daytona Beach. In her leisure time, she played board games and collected items such as Gnomes and anything that pertained to the Wizard of Oz. A loving mother and grandmother, she will be greatly missed by all. The visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Jewell Rittman Family Funeral Home. In keeping with June’s wishes, no service will be held. Memorials may be made to the Bartholomew County Humane Society through the funeral home. Survivors include sons, Donald Ray Bell Jr., of Columbus, Toby (Rachel) Bell, of Galesburg, IL; daughters, Crystal (Don Hacker) Bell, and Christine Parks, both of Columbus; and 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a granddaughter, Ravinne Bell. Services were entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
