Hugh Lloyd Pratt, affectionately known as Lloyd, 85, born on January 26, 1939, in Searcy, AR, to Edward O. Pratt and Jewell Berry Pratt. He peacefully passed away on April 27, 2024, at IU Health University in Indianapolis, IN. He married Maxine Oneda Carr on June 1, 1958. After serving with honor in the Indiana National Guard for six years, Lloyd dedicated an impressive half-century to Marsh Supermarkets before his retirement. His steadfast faith was evident in his involvement with the 7th Street Church of God and as a Legacy Member of The Gideons. Lloyd's passions were his garden, the flowers he cultivated with care, and above all, nurturing the love he shared with his wife Maxine. He was a man of God that ministered to everyone he met. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Ballard officiating. Calling hours will be from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2024 at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru, IN. Survivors include his wife, Maxine Oneda Pratt; son, Gregory Lloyd (Donna) Pratt of Phoenix, AZ; sister, Linda Cole of Kokomo, IN; 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Jewell Pratt; daughter, Lisa Deanne Pratt and brother, Terry O. Pratt.
