Michelle Renee Allen, 35, of Columbus, passed away on May 21, 2024, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Michelle was born on October 6, 1988, in Terre Haute, to Victor Allen and Lorena Hale Allen. She attained her GED and previously worked at both the Flambeau and Dorel Companies. Michelle was known for her faith in God, throughout her life's journey. Among her greatest joys was spending time with her cherished family, especially her children, Brayden, Morgan (Jaylynne), Jene’e, and Emily, whom she adored dearly. She also treasured moments shared with her nieces and friends, cherishing every memory made together. Michelle is survived by her loving parents, Victor and Lorena Allen; her devoted sister, Brittany Allen; her precious children, Brayden, Morgan (Jaylynne), Jene’e, and Emily; her grandparents, Maurice (Carole) Hughes; as well as numerous extended family members, including aunts, uncles, nieces, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Ralph and Beatrice Hale; her great-grandmother, Ruth Bishop; her aunt, Brenda Lynch; and uncle, Kerry Allen. Michelle will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her kind spirit and love for her family leave an everlasting mark on those whose lives she touched. Per the family's wishes, cremation has been chosen. A service to celebrate Michelle's life and inurnment will be held at Rodney Cemetery. Details for the service will be provided by the family at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.     I was very sad to see Michelle’s obituary in the paper. I was privileged to work alongside her after the birth of Morgan, as well as a few years following. Michelle had such a sweet spirit. The last time I saw her was on Halloween several years ago. She had one of the children with her and she was so happy and told me that things were going very well for her. Praying for all of you as you grieve the loss of your beloved Michelle.
