Beverly Ann Dean, 89, of Columbus, died at 3:48 p.m. on August 5, 2024, at Hickory Creek. Beverly was born in Marengo Township, Michigan, the daughter of Earl and Elda (Vansickle) Sweet. She married Thomas Darrel Dean on December 31, 1954, their 68-year marriage was a testament to their enduring love. For 32 years, Beverly committed herself to working in Administration at Citizen's Gas and was a member of Mt. Healthy Community Church. Beverly's passion for decorating and creating beautiful floral arrangements brought joy to countless weddings. She had a green thumb and took great pleasure in gardening. Her love for musicals and plays added a touch of elegance to her life, and her culinary talents made her a truly exceptional cook and baker. Beverly had an abiding interest in bringing beauty and order to every space she touched, truly excelling at her passion for cleanliness and organization. Family and friends held a special place in her heart, and she cherished every moment spent with her beloved grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Mt. Healthy Community Church with Kevin Johnson officiating. Calling will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Inurnment will be at St. Paul Methodist Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Mt. Healthy Community Church Survivors include sons, Michael (Susie) Dean of Vevay, Indiana, and Steven (Robin) Dean of Columbus; sister, Janice (Al) Sunday; grandchildren, Nikia Dean, Amber Dean, Ashley (Mike) Jennings, Angela (Carl) Summerlot, and Lillian Moon; great-grandchildren, Ryana Hardin, Lilliana Hobbs, Layla Hobbs, Evan Jennings, Jacob Jennings, Kaitlyn West, Alora Summerlot, and Ivy Summerlot; great-great-grandchildren, Beckham Grider, Nash West, Kolton Roberts, and Stevie West. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Elda Sweet; husband, Thomas Dean; grandchild, Earl Dean; and great-grandchild, Axel Moon. We appreciate the loving care Beverly received at Hickory Creek Nursing Home. Services were entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
