Dale Wayne Purvis, 46, of Columbus, died at 10:13 am on August 24, 2024 at his home. Dale was born December 9, 1977 in Shelbyville, Tennessee, the son of Lee Roy Whitfield and Kimberly Garcia. Dale found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in tinkering with cars and bicycles. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need, whether it was fixing a car or installing radios. Together with his best friend Timmy, he embarked on countless adventures, riding their bikes and exploring the world around them. Dale was a kind-hearted man who consistently went out of his way to assist others whenever he could. Per Dale’s Request, cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Survivors include his parents, Lee Roy Whitfield and Kimberly Garcia; son, Kelton Shane Purvis; daughter, Chloe Rose Purvis; and brothers, Brian Purvis, Jesse Whitfield, and Juan “Johnny” Garcia. Services were entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. You are invited to light a virtual candle and send a message to the family.

I dated Dale when I was 15,still remember to this day him always smiling and had long blonde hair,and those beautiful eyes what got me,it didn’t work out however we were at the best of friends and he lived with my parents for two yrs,at least he is free of pain ,always be in my heart ,miss I already,love LanishaLaw(hippiechic)

  3. My dad was always so sweet and I remember he would always be willing to help whenever he could, he always knew how to put a smile on Mt face. One of my favorite memories is when he would tell me stories on the phone and then tell me the same stories again. I always loved spending time with him. He always spoiled me even when he didn’t have much money. I love him so much and I really miss him
