Brittney Kenin Givens

Brittney Kenin Givens, affectionately known by her family as Britt, and her friends as Bree, passed away on October 6, 2024, in Carmel, Indiana. She was a beacon of joy and love, born on September 27, 1988, in Columbus, Indiana, to her devoted parents, Kimberly and Tony Bozell. Britt's infectious happiness and boundless kindness left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her. Britt graduated from Columbus North High School in 2007, where she was admired for her adventurous spirit and faith-filled nature. Her passion for beauty and creativity led her to a fulfilling career in cosmetology at Buns and Beards in Columbus, Indiana. Her artistic touch and warm conversation made her a favorite among clients and colleagues alike. In her personal life, Britt was a loving wife to her husband, Ben, and together they shared a life full of laughter, travel, and cherished moments. Britt's sense of adventure took her across Europe with her closest friends, on a recent girls’ trip, exploring the ancient streets of Rome, the islands of Greece, and the cultural riches of Turkey. These journeys were among the many highlights of her life, filled with stories that she would joyfully recount for years to come. Britt's love for her dog, Rhett Arthur, was unparalleled. She was a dedicated pet parent. A member of Immanuel Lutheran in Seymour, Indiana, Britt's faith was a cornerstone of her existence. She lived her beliefs through her actions, always extending a hand of friendship and never passing judgment. Her faith community cherished her presence and the light she brought to every gathering. An exceptional baker, Britt was renowned for her special Strawberry Shortcake recipe—a treat that was eagerly anticipated by her dad, only made for him. Britt was the embodiment of love and positivity. She approached life with an open heart, always ready to embrace new experiences and meet new people. Her absence will be deeply felt by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with her. Britt is survived by her loving husband, Ben; her mother, Kimberly Bozell; her father, Tony Bozell; grandparents, Richard and Shirley Bozell of Columbus and Grandmother, Judith Robertson of Jacksonville, Fl., and a numerous amount of friends who were like family. Her life was a beautiful journey that touched many, and she will be profoundly missed. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Creel and Bessie Sprague. A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Brittney Kenin Givens will be deeply missed, but the light she brought into this world will continue to shine in the hearts of those she touched. Rest in peace, dear Britt. Your spirit lives on in the love and memories you have left behind. Services will be at 10:00 am Friday, October 11, 2024 at Jewell Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor James Rodriguez officiating. Viewing will be Thursday, October 10th, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with one hour prior to service time on Friday. Brittney will be laid to rest at Garland Brook Cemetery immediately following the service on Friday. Services are entrusted to Jewell Rittman Family Funeral Home.
