Rodger Fredrick Cashion, known lovingly as Rodger to his family and friends, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2024, at his residence in Columbus, Indiana. Born on August 12, 1965, in St. Louis, Missouri, Rodger was a man whose heart and talents were as big as his love for cooking.
Throughout his career, Rodger was admired by many as a warm and capable manager at Sirloin Stockade and as a valued member of the team at Toyota Material Handling. He was a loving husband to Santa Sandoval-Toribo Cashion, a devoted son to Carolyn Hoerchler Cashion, and cherished memories with his children Gerald Peralta, Chaira Sandoval, Charina Gonzalez, and Chastherin Gonzalez, leaving behind a legacy of generosity and selflessness. Rodger also leaves his loving sister, Stephanie (Phil) Brase; cherished nieces, Nicole (Chris) Goodwin, Lauren Brase and Abbey Brase, along with great nieces and nephew, Madelyn, Aubrey and Aaron Goodwin. He predeceased by his father, Fredrick William Cashion.
Loving, generous, and selfless – these words perfectly encapsulate the essence of Rodger, an excellent chef who took great joy in cooking for others. Rodger's unwavering love and kind deeds have left an indelible imprint on the hearts of all who knew him. He will be profoundly missed, but forever remembered.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday October 17, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home 3855 25th Street Columbus, IN. Rodger will then be taken to the Baue Funeral Home 311 Wood Street O’Fallon, MO with visitation to begin at 10:00 a.m. Monday October 21 and the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Charles Memorial Gardens Cemetery, St. Charles, MO






I will always remember his willingness to help anyone especially at work. He would always stop what he was doing and take care of any issue you may have had. He was more than a coworker, he was a friend as well…R.I.P. my friend

Rodgers was a wonderful person. Thinking of others more than himself. I had the privilege of working with him for quite some time. A true friend and sadly missed. Until we meet again my friend.
