Thomas Nelson McFelea, affectionately known as Tommy Tinker to his friends and family, passed away peacefully of natural causes on November 5, 2024, at the age of 80. Born on November 7, 1943, in Paoli, Indiana. For over five decades, he was the proud owner and operator of Upholstery by McFelea in Columbus, Indiana, where his craftsmanship and dedication to his trade earned him the respect and admiration of all who knew him. His work was not just a job but a passion that allowed him to connect with people from all walks of life. Tommy's youth was marked by the clatter of billiard balls and laughter, as he played pool with his friends in Paoli and Pekin. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping as well. Tommy's journey through life was shared with his companion of 47 years, Carol Luetke. Their partnership was a beautiful testament to enduring love and mutual support. He is further survived by a step-daughter, Amy Jones. As we say goodbye to Tommy, we celebrate a life that was rich in experiences and filled with love. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him, and his influence will continue to be felt through the lives of his family and the many people he touched. Tommy McFelea's story is one of a life well-lived, and while he will be deeply missed, his legacy will endure.
