  4. Gilda and family. I always loved it when you and Joe came into Walgreens. He always lifted our spirits with his smile, even when we were having a bad day. And I will always treasure the time I got to attend a Purdue tailgate and football game with the two of you. Everyone had to retreat to the concession area when a lightning storm rolled in but it eventually cleared and Purdue went on to win that game. He was a true Boilermaker faithful and we lost a great alum and fan. Boiler Up, Joe

  11. Gilda, Kevin, KellyI Jan and family,
I want to extend my sincere condolences. Like most people, I always enjoyed seeing and being engaged in Joe’s conversations. He always had something to share and the best part was his smile and joy were contagious.
Quick Story Joe had tickets to the Purdue/IU football game and invited me and Dave Horn to tag along. Joe being true to the Black and Gold secured two seats for his IU buddies that made his friends in red and white less conspicuous to his Loyal Purdue friends. When we arrived at our seats we knew Joe “Pranked Us”. Our tickets were located on the highest row and farthest corner of the stadium. Joe pulled a good one us. We laughed and smiled all day.
I am guessing Joe is up in heaven helping the Purdue faithful find their next football coach. My condolences to you and your family. Celebrating Joe on a life well played and may your memories together sustain you doing this time of loss.
    Sincerely
    Steve Gobert
