Born on April 27, 1930, in Edmonton, Violet's life was a tapestry of joyous moments shared with family and friends. Violet's passion for cooking filled her home with delightful aromas and her table with those eager to enjoy her culinary creations. She was a master of the board game Aggravation, much to the delight and playful chagrin of her opponents. Her love for shopping was only matched by her enthusiasm for completing puzzles and finding treasures at yard sales. Her spirit, characterized by a love for life's simple pleasures, will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. Violet's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the countless memories she crafted with gentle hands and a generous heart. Her passing leaves a void, but her influence will continue to be felt by those who were fortunate enough to know her. She is survived by her daughter in law, Betty Hurt, and grandchildren, Tom Couch, and Jeremy (Brittany) Goodnight, great-grandchildren, Jackie (David) Midkiff and Grant Goodnight, great-great-grandchildren, James, Cierra, Hayden, Timothy, Roger, Abigail, Brenna, April, Anthony, Gideon, Thomas, and Daphne Midkiff. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 20, 2025 at St. Paul Methodist Cemetery in Ogilville, Indiana.
