Lori R. Miller, 57, of Pocomoke City, MD, formerly of Columbus, IN passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025 at John Hopkins Hospital. Lori was born in Columbus, IN on January 27, 1968 to Larry Kent and Linda Sutton Kent. She married Timothy Wayne Miller Sr. on June 18, 1999. Lori's role as a housewife was one she cherished deeply, pouring her love and energy into creating a nurturing home for her loved ones. She extended her caring nature beyond her household as a devoted caregiver to her granddaughter, who has Rett syndrome. Lori's patience and kindness made a profound difference in her granddaughter's life, providing comfort and support through the challenges of the condition. In her professional life, Lori was a beloved greeter at the State of Maryland Tourist Center. Her radiant smile and genuine interest in people made her a favorite among visitors and colleagues alike. She took great pride in representing her state and enjoyed sharing its beauty and history with others. Lori's interests were centered around her family, with whom she loved to spend time. Her presence was a source of joy at family gatherings, where her laughter and stories would light up the room. Her passion for her family was evident in every aspect of her life, and the memories created during these precious moments will be treasured forever. Lori's legacy is one of love, service, and the simple joys of life. Her impact on those she touched is immeasurable, and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with her. Lori R. Miller lived a life full of purpose and love, and her spirit will continue to inspire those who knew her for years to come. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2025 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Calling hours will be from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial will be held at Donaldson Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses. Survivors include her husband, Timothy Wayne Miller Sr.; children, Michael Kent, Timmy Miller II, Tabitha Miller, Rocky Miller, Teresa (James) Tyler and Joey Vermeal, Casey Alford; grandchildren, Halle Kent, Carter Kent, Izabella Kent, Myles Shipley, Madison Miller, Macey Miller, Nya Watson, Wesley Tyler, Dustin Tyler, Leland Tyler, Farah Tyler and Carley Vermeal; aunt, Cheryl McCain; uncles, Richard Sutton, David Hadley and Randy Kent. Lori was preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Linda Kent; son, Christopher Kent; brothers, Mark, Sean and Darin Kent; grandparents, Glen and Gean Hadley, Ed and Mert Kent; aunts, Janet Hadley and Sherry Kent.
