Kim R. Miller

Kim R. Miller, 64, of Columbus, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2025 at her home. Kim was born on June 17, 1960 in Modesto, CA to Roger Smith and Judy Reed Smith. She married Robert Miller in 1998. Kim embarked on a heartfelt mission to spread joy and comfort through "Kim's Kuddle Bugs," a beloved endeavor she nurtured for 18 years. Her work, both in her career and her personal enterprise, showcased her deep compassion and her desire to make a positive impact on those around her. After nearly two decades of heartfelt dedication to her business, Kim transitioned into a role at Columbus Transitional Care and Rehabilitation, where she continued to spread her warmth and kindness until her well-deserved retirement. Kim's faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and her purpose. She was a devoted member of the Columbus Baptist Church, where she formed lasting friendships and contributed to the church's mission with her characteristic generosity and grace. Her spiritual journey also included time with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she engaged in fellowship and service. Beyond her professional and spiritual endeavors, Kim found solace and joy in the tranquility of her garden. Her hands, always ready to comfort and care for others, were equally adept at nurturing the earth, coaxing life from the soil to bloom in vibrant arrays of color and fragrance. Gardening was not just a hobby for Kim; it was a reflection of her philosophy of life—cultivating beauty and sustaining those around her. Family was the heart of Kim's world. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, believing that the simplest pleasures shared with family were the most precious. Her laughter, her stories, and her unwavering support created an atmosphere of warmth and security that drew her family close and kept them bonded through the years. A Celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Columbus Baptist Church, 4821 N. U.S Hwy 31, Columbus, IN 47201 with Pastor Chuck Kennedy officiating. Survivors include her husband, Robert Miller; children, Robert Jenkins of Columbus, IN, Steven (Alyson) Jenkins of Franklin, IN, Ashley Neibel of Columbus, IN, Amber Eder of Columbus, IN; step-sons, Robert (Nicole) Miller of Tracy, CA and Andrew (Jennifer) Miller of Tracy, CA; sisters, Kathy Pierson of Columbus, IN and Lisa (Mike) James of Washington; 15 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. Kim was preceded in death by her father, Roger Smith; mother, Judy Malone; 1 grandson and 2 nephews. Arrangements were entrusted to Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
