Thomas E. Davis

Thomas E. Davis, 79, of Columbus, IN passed away Friday, June 6, 2025 at The Belmont Health and Rehabilitation. Tom was born on February 14, 1946 in Roxana, KY to Thomas Thurston Davis and Maxie Whitaker Davis. He married Donna K. Hilderbrand on December 31, 1965. Tom proudly served as a mechanic for the Bartholomew County REMC, where he dedicated many years of hard work and expertise. A man of diverse interests, Tom's love for NASCAR was known to many. He could often be found in the stands or in front of the television, cheering on his favorite drivers with an unmatched enthusiasm. Tom's heart held a special place for his beloved fur baby, Lexie, who was his loyal companion in his later years. The bond they shared was a testament to his kind and caring nature, and Lexie's presence brought him immense comfort and happiness. A private entombment will be held at Garland Brook Cemetery Mausoleum. Survivors include his sisters, Jowanda Day of Beavercreek, OH, Elaine Moore of Richmond, KY, Brenda A. Davis of Lexington, KY; friend, Jeff Britton of Columbus, IN, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna K. Hilderbrand on May 25, 2019; parents, Thurston and Maxie Davis; brother, James Davis; sister Merlene Day.
