Sherry Lanette Idlewine, 60, of Columbus, died at 6:15 a.m. on Saturday June 21, 2025. Sherry was born September 1, 1964 in Columbus, the daughter of Brady Russell and Wanda (Bowman) Jenkins. Sherry’s greatest joy in life was her family. She cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, who were the center of her world. Her home was always filled with love, laughter, and the comforting presence of her beloved cat, Roxie. A woman of many talents and passions, Sherry found peace and fulfillment in the garden, where she nurtured beauty with her own hands; black petunias being her absolute favorite. She also expressed her creativity through painting and crafting, often creating pieces that reflected her vibrant spirit. Whether she was working on a new project or simply enjoying a quiet moment with her loved ones, Sherry lived each day with warmth, devotion, and a deep love for those closest to her. In accordance with Sherry's wishes, cremation has been respectfully chosen as the final arrangement. Survivors her mother, Wanda Jenkins; daughters, Hailey Idlewine and Mindy (Dusty) Coppinger; brother, Tony (Julie) Jenkins; grandchildren, Dixie Lewis, Grady Key, Coralee Coppinger; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat Roxie. She was preceded in death by her father, Russell Jenkins; son, Gregory Todd Idlewine; and grandson Warren Key. Services were entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.   1. Sherry was always a sweet person from the time we all square danced together and she was a beautiful child that Roger always called her Pumpkin, to whenever we’d see her out any where always a beautiful smile and laugh, that we won’t forget. God’s love and peace to you all.

  2. I have know Sherry my whole life. It is so hard to beleave she is gone. My love and thoughts are with Wanda and the girls. My heart breaks for the sister I have lost. Love to you all.

    • So sorry to hear about Sherry. She’ll be greatly missed. I enjoyed talking with her at her work. I’d stop in. She always had a smile on her face and talked a lot about her mom and dad and her kids and grandkids prayers for her family.

  3. I worked with Sherry and always enjoyed talking to her. She will be missed. She was a sweet person. This is so hard to believe as I had just talked to her a few weeks ago! Prayers to her family!
